Chief Executive Officer Gough Group
Liz joined the Gough Group in March 2018 having established an enviable reputation leading and implementing transformational business change across a wide range of industries. Previous roles include CEO of Kennards Hire based in Sydney, Executive Director Customer Services for Sydney Trains, CEO of CentrePort, and significant executive positions in Telstra, Spark, and EDS.
Liz is an Independent Director on the Board of Moana Fisheries and was previously Director of the New South Wales Telco Authority.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR STRATEGY
In addition to his role on the Board, Ben joined the Executive Team as General Manager Strategic Development in November 2009. Prior to this Ben has managed a ten year career in commercial property with four years as Managing Director of Tailorspace Limited and subsidiaries.
Ben is the first family member for 24 years to be involved in day-to-day management and is Caterpillar Dealer-Principal.
GENERAL MANAGER PEOPLE AND CULTURE
Garry brings 25 years experience in Human Resources including time at Lion Nathan, Solid Energy, Sheffield Consulting and Brannigan's Consulting. He has previously served as Chair of Sport Canterbury and is currently a Board Member of Canterbury Cricket.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Anthony joined the team in 2014. He brings extensive international experience having worked with BHP Billiton in Australia and the UK, Bluescope Steel, and Solid Energy.
Anthony oversees all financial aspects of the Group including tax, audit, and centralised support services including IT, property, legal, and risk matters.
EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER TRANSPORT AND MATERIALS HANDLING
Glenn has responsibilities for operational execution and executive management for all Gough Group businesses.
Glenn has extensive and broad multi brand selling and distribution experience across many markets and countries gained over more than 15 years.
Previously Glenn has held General Management roles at Crane Distribution, Schneider Electric and PDL Electronics.
EXECUTIVE GENERAL MANAGER GOUGH CAT
Chris joined the Gough executive team in January 2018 bringing an extensive Caterpillar experience gained over the last 20 years.
After starting his career with the Gough Group at our Nelson branch as an Apprentice field technician Chris has worked his way up to significant executive positions with Caterpillar businesses including most recently being the General Manager Mining and Marketing for Trakindo Cat in Indonesia.
Chris is responsible for all areas of the Caterpillar dealership in New Zealand including the Power System and Rental businesses.

John joined the company in May 2017, bringing an extensive HSE background including roles in Downer New Zealand and Australia, and most recently with the Hawkins Group. John's role encompasses all aspects of the Health, Safety, and Environment challenges for the Group, and is based in our Wiri offices in Auckland.

Grant joined the Group in September 2018. Grant joins Gough Group from Citta, where he was chief operating officer for nearly three-and-a-half years. Before joining the retail and design chain, Taylor was CIO at the outdoor clothing and equipment supplier Kathmandu, and also CIO at the Southern District Health Board. He was also IT manager at PGG Wrightson.

Vaas joined the team in August 2018. He has extensive experience across multiple industries, mainly focused on product research and development and software system implementation and management. Most recently Vaas was Manager - Group Strategic Initiatives for Gallagher in Hamilton. He is responsible for ensuring the Group’s strategic plan is delivered though effective portfolio, project and change management.
