Shaping Success for over 80 years. Gough CAT comprises a number of operating units including Gough CAT Power Systems, Gough CAT Rental Store, Gough Engineering, and Gough Analytical. Together these units represent the Equipment Division of Gough Group.

Gough CAT offers the entire Caterpillar product range of machines and engines, all of which are designed, engineered and built to be the toughest and most reliable in the world.

The business supports a wide cross section of leading industries across many markets, giving us a proven history of commitment to our customers, and provides a wide range of services associated with the importation, marketing and ongoing support of every Caterpillar product we sell, both new and used.

Whether you require new or used equipment, our sales team can find the right package for you. Gough CAT territory sales managers have extensive experience in machinery applications to ensure that you can make a well-informed purchase decision.

Our branches nationwide all comply with Caterpillar’s high international standards for dealer premises. Our modern facilities are equipped with the diagnostic, repair and test equipment to ensure machine downtime is kept to a minimum. We have the locations, field servicemen and parts inventory to make good our service promise.

From facilities and equipment through to training, Gough CAT makes investments wherever we need to in order to best serve our customers.

We established the Gough Institute of Training in 2001 to focus on the recruitment and development of our apprentices and the trade training of our servicemen. The Institute, which is now a world leader among Caterpillar dealers, also provides machine operator development that is offered to Goughs customers on a fee basis.

Our aim is to provide New Zealand customers with the most comprehensive engine product range that Caterpillar has to offer.

At Goughs we’re always striving to deliver the best products and services to the market. Our investment in our people, inventories, infrastructure and development, combined with Caterpillar technology ensures that we’ll always add value to your business.
